The tour includes seeing and exploring the vineyard and its grape varieties, a visit to the cellar from the 17th century where you can taste two wines and typical smoked meat from Alentejo.

Tours Vineyard & Wine + Country Safari

The tour includes a walk through the entire exploitation, exploring all of the Estate’s agricultural varieties: Catlle, Cereal, Cork, Vineyard and Wine tasting in the cellar from the 17th century which includes the tasting of two wines and typical smoked meat from Alentejo.
Price per peson – 10 €
Note: the price for tasting is deducted if your purchase at the store is over 30€ per person.

Note: Children are welcome, they do not have to pay but they cannot taste wine.

Meals at Torre do Frade

We offer typical (delicious!) Alentejo meals at the Torre do Frade wine cellar, for a minimum of 5 people.

The prices are according to the chosen menu. The menu must be chosen by reservation.

Didactic Activities

The didactic activities can be included in all the tours with an additional cost of 3€ per person, except for the tasting course with tour – Please confirm below.

Assessing the vine development

You can join a field/country tour with a viticulture team to assess “in loco” the vine development by grape varieties and with a technical explanation.

Activity duration – 45/60 mins.

Game of Wine Aromas

It is the tasting of several aromas to test and practise your smelling memory, including the aromas that may potentially ruin the wine.

Activity duration – 30/40 mins.

Tasting level 1 initiation course

An introductory course on analytic wine tasting – how to taste and judge a wine within a theoretic and practical perspective.

Duration – 2h
Less than 20 people – 45€/person
More than 20 people – 35€/person
