Our VIRGO 2015 White wine was the highlight of Portugal in Brussels World Contest 2016. This wine was awarded as a Panel Revelation having been among the six white wines with the highiest scores at the event and was awarded a Grand Gold Medal. This Virgo White is an amazing wine for its aromatic potential, by its freshness and the incredible alcohol content that presents for a white from Alentejo, only 11.5%. It is a monovarietal 100% Viognier vinified entirely in stainless steel. The secrets of this wine are in schist soil (schist yellow with vertical outcrops) which gives to our whites this crazy and unusual minerality in Alentejo, the 300 m above the sea level of the vineyard, its geographical location that provides great temperature range day / night. And above all due to the Family philosophy of trying to make white wines with low alcohol content, merits for our Captain Albino who is obsessed with this idea. This obsession leads to this aromatic strength, combined with an incredible freshness with an outstanding elegance unusual for the region. This is our true definition of Terroir.
